Miss Pacific Beach Contest – Huge Success
I hope everyone had the chance to make it out to PB Bar & Grill last Wednesday for the first annual Miss Pacific Beach Contest. If not, there’s always next year! Yep, that’s right – next year; the event was so successful that it will now become an annual event and soon a staple in the PB community.
We would like to thank everyone involved for making this such a successful event, with a huge turn out. Especially the folks at PB Bar & Grill and all of our Facebook fans who showed up. We already have some great ideas for next year which will make the event even better. Along the way and through the night everything went pretty smoothly with just a few staff hiccups and some minor backstage drama.

A lot of Facebook fans in attendance told us that they liked the format and opportunity where they were able to vote for there favorite contestant and while the Facebook votes would not determine the final winner they did play a big role in the final judging as the Facebook votes were given to the judges before the judging started so that they could use the votes in their selection decision.
We are defiantly going to use this same judging format for next year since it proved to be so successful, where the PB Reality Facebook fans will have the chance to get involved and vote for their favorite contestant. Next year, we will build on it a little more so that PB reality fans are even more involved, who knows, we might even pick a fan or two to sit on the judging panel?
A big shout-out to MC Marty Lubin who kept things moving and did a great job in making this event a memorable one. There were so many beautiful contestants up on stage, but before they took the stage, they were in the crowd talking to people. A lot of you told us you liked this and we got more then a few compliments from our fans on this! The contestants enjoyed it too, so it was a win-win for everyone!
At the end of the night Charity Hodges took the grand prize of $3,000.00 and was crowned Miss Pacific Beach (the very first one). Tiffany Keller was announced as runner up Rachel Swanson was chosen as the third place winner. A donation of $3,000.00 was presented to PhotoCharity.org right before the winners were announced.
